Keesha Sharp

The actress can be seen as Tyler Perry in the smash hit, Why Did I Get Married. Perry, Janet Jackson and the indie film Frozen Peas are all starring together in her. Additional film credits for her include The 636 (for which she received the award for Best Actress in the 2014 NYLA International Film Festival), Shattered! Never Die Alone, American Adobo, as well as American Adobo. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Keesha upon her graduation. Keesha chose to pursue a career in acting after graduating from the Cum Laude Theatre School with the Bachelor in Fine Arts. The show she was in included the Broadway National Tour of Carousel as well as debuted Off Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. Additionally, she played eight roles in the comedic Eat the Runt. Other theatrical performances comprise Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha read alongside playwright August Wilson himself. Apart from her roles in the stage and screen, Keesha directed episodes of "Lethal Weapon", "Are We There Yet" and short films One Day, Lillian and Half Off. Keesha created Clean, The Brit & Broken Doll. She also is working on several new projects in development.
