Tom Selleck

Tom SelleckThomas William Selleck is an American actor. His first role was private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988), for which the actor received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, winning in 1985. Since 2010 Selleck has appeared as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Since 2005, he has played the character of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from a small town in New York City. Also, he's appeared in nine television movies inspired by Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck also played the part of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and Three Men and a Little Lady (90). In addition to his role in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has been seen in more than 50 movies and TV shows, including the movies Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He was a frequent television actor playing Monica Geller's lover Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the likeable, naive partner, in The Rockford Files; and as A.J., the casino owner. He also played the lead role in the western television film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran and is a spokesperson for National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser in ads for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
